Terms of service

These terms cover the SoulQuest website and game, operated under the trading name RusticRubyGames (“we”, “us”). For help or questions, contact support@soulquestrpg.com.

Your account and alpha access

You must accept these terms to register. Keep your login details private, use an email address you control and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. Creating or confirming an account does not guarantee access: the alpha is currently limited to approved players.

SoulQuest is in development. Features, balance and availability may change, and test progress may be reset or lost. There is no promised release date or guarantee that alpha progress will carry into a later release. These terms do not authorise a purchase or subscription; any future paid service will have its price and applicable terms explained before you agree to pay.

Fair play

Use SoulQuest lawfully and respect other players. Do not harass or threaten people, share someone else’s private information, post unlawful content, cheat, exploit bugs, automate play without permission, bypass access restrictions or interfere with the service. Report security problems privately to our support address without accessing other people’s accounts or data.

We may remove content or restrict an account when reasonably necessary to address a breach of these rules, protect players or comply with the law. Contact support if you think a restriction is mistaken. You can stop using the game at any time and contact support to request account closure.

Game content and your contributions

Game artwork, branding, text and software belong to their respective owners. You may use the game for personal enjoyment and share links to it. These terms do not give you ownership of game assets or permission to commercially reproduce them. Rights and exceptions provided by law still apply.

You retain any rights you have in messages and profile text you submit. You give us permission to store and display that content as needed to provide the features you use and to moderate abuse. Only submit content you have the right to share.

Privacy and protection

Our Privacy policy explains account and gameplay records, security checks and our use of Cloudflare, Sentry and PostHog. Necessary security and limited fault records remain active when optional tracking is declined. Accepting these terms does not give permission for optional analytics, browser diagnostics, session replay or emails. Those have separate choices.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep SoulQuest working, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may change or suspend the alpha, including for maintenance or security. We will give reasonable notice where practical. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights or limits liability where the law does not allow it, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, business losses from use of this personal entertainment service, or events outside our reasonable control.

Changes to these terms

We will publish updates here with a new date and version. We will bring material changes affecting existing accounts to your attention before they take effect and seek fresh agreement where required. Contact support if you have questions about a change.
